I'm Giulio (Italian: [ˈdʒuːljo]), a developer and application manager from Leiden, The Netherlands. I have a passion for Open Source and dabbling with (digitized!) medieval manuscripts.

📖 Fun fact: My GitHub handle, Dioscorides, is the Latinized name of Πεδάνιος Διοσκουρίδης, author of the Greek medical text from the first century CE known as the De Materia Medica (Περὶ ὕλης ἰατρικῆς). This text was the most widely used herbal guide until the 17^th century, and also a 10^th century CE manuscript I worked on for my MA thesis. The name Dioscorides itself means "gift of Zeus."
